ELIANA WALLIS KLATHIS
is a sophomore at the American College of Greece Deree majoring in communications with an emphasis on journalism and a minor in environmental science. Involved in the campus newspaper and part of the social media team, she was a dean honors student at Johnson County Community College in Kansas, where she was feature editor of The Campus Ledger, the cohost of a student podcast The Cavalier Corner, and a videojournalist volunteer for the bi-weekly campus broadcast Cav Media. She also participated in the 8th Annual National Hellenic Society’s Heritage America Program in Washington, DC. Eliana is the daughter of Yiannis Klathis of Athens, Greece, and Timmetha Harrington of Arizona.
JENNA ELIZABETH PAPADOPOULOS
is a Master’s in Mass Communications candidate at the University of Florida. She earned a Bachelor’s in Mass Communications with a minor in Humanities at the University of South Florida, where she managed a radio show at WUSF Radio and presented her research at the University of South Florida’s annual Undergraduate Humanities Conference. She hopes to combine her love of science and communications in her future career. Jenna is the daughter of George and Janice Papadopoulos, both of Dunedin, FL
ZOE PARASKEVAS
is a recent summa cum laude graduate of St. John’s University in New York. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Communication Arts & Media Management, with two minors in International Studies and Criminal Justice. Throughout her time as an undergrad, she held multiple internships in communications, content creation, and marketing positions to enhance her skill set for her ultimate goal of a career in news media journalism. A native of Rhodes, Greece holding dual citizenship, Zoe is the daughter of Emmanuel Paraskevas and Toula Kontonicolaou of Rhodes, Greece.
VIKTORIA POPOVSKA
is a senior at Boston University’s College of Communications studying journalism and is a member of the Kilachand Honors College. She is also a member of the Tri-Alpha First Generation Student Honors Society, a Provost Scholar award recipient, an NJPF Jules L. Plangere summer intern, and has had a research essay published in the Kilachand Kaleidoscope Journal. While at BU, she has had her journalistic work featured in The Daily Free Press Independent student newspaper, WTBU Radio News, The BU Buzz Magazine, as well as The Boston Globe. She has also interned with The Montclair Local in New Jersey, The New England Journal of Higher Education in Boston, and GCN Magazine in Dublin, Ireland. Her parents are Goran and Divna Popovska from Montville, NJ.
ALEXA NICOLE POTAMIANOS
is a senior at the University of Rhode Island pursuing a degree in Film Media and Communication Studies. She is actively involved in her school newspaper, The Good Five Cent Cigar, currently serving as the newscast editor and formerly as a staff reporter. Alexa’s experience working with media continues as host of her own weekly radio program and in her position as a social media specialist for the URI orientation team. She is interning with the academic advising office helping to advise first-year students and run the office’s social media accounts. Post-graduation in 2024, she hopes to attend graduate school. Alexa is the daughter of Spiro and Chrisanthy Potamianos of Randolph, NJ.
ARIANNA MARIA SHALHOUB
is a sophomore at Tufts University, matriculating in a 5-year, dual-degree program in Film & Media Studies and Studio Art. She is a radio host at WMFO, Tufts Freeform Radio, where she has interviewed multiple up-and-coming artists live on her show Love on Air, and is the Head of Scripted Content and a TV Project Head at Tufts University Television. She is also the illustrator of a recently published children’s book titled, I Love to be Greek!, which was launched in June 2023. Recently completing a television internship at Danvers Community Access Television, she also participated in the 8th Annual National Hellenic Society’s Heritage America Program in Washington, DC. Arianna is the daughter of Joseph Shalhoub M.D. and Angela Diantgikis Shalhoub of Peabody, MA.
